Curiosities from the Museum: Taxidermized Animals – 5/23/24

Over the years at the Wenatchee Valley Museum, some odd and strange things have been donated to the collection. While there is currently a screening process and procedures in place for donating items, this wasn’t always the case. We occasionally find oddities lying around from years gone by with little or no explanations.

One beautiful example of this would be some of the treasures found in our taxidermy collection.

These guys were donated back when the museum first started and it is unknown how they came to look the way they do. It is very entertaining for staff and still in use for educational programs today as well.
