We will take a closer look at Jupiter, Mars and Mercury and find out what they are made of and how they compare to Earth. Blast off with us as we experiment with gravity and build amazing flying machines and rockets.
Join the museum’s Robotics Coaches, Lara Hays and Adam Walker, as they introduce you to the basics of LEGO Mindstorm robotics programming. Learn how to build a LEGO robot and make it move! They will also show you how to use First Lego League competition skills, which include core values and task completion.
Grades 5 – 7: Checkmate Champions
Join us for an entertaining week playing one of the oldest and most popular games in the world! Learn the rules, basic strategy, and techniques for winning this two-person game. Students will also have an opportunity to participate in their own chess tournament, playing against different opponents and testing their skills. Explore the many ways authors take a journey through delicious, literary adventures as we create our own snacks to eat after being inspired by the books we read!
