Beat the Heat at the Museum!
The Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center and NCW Arts Alliance invites you to this collaborative workshop series featuring regional artists and educators.
Try your hand at a variety of creative mediums this summer, delving into the art of Japanese calligraphy, paper crafting, and painting. These courses are for ages 16+ and are great for all skill levels – beginners welcome!
On Saturday, August 24, 1-3 PM, play with paper alongside Cashmere-based artist Rhia Foster. Explore the textures and images you can create layering paper and color. Learn to transfer images onto plexiglass for original 3D cards and ornaments. Create original cards to keep and gift – no drawing or writing experience needed. This class is hands-on and a great way to relieve stress and create unique works of art without pressure.
This workshop costs $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Members of either WVMCC or NCW Arts Alliance are eligible for member pricing. Registration is required.
