SUMMARY:Super Summer Adventures: Session 8
DESCRIPTION:   \n\n\nGrades 1 – 2: Wee Science \nDo you like experimenting with all kinds of materials? How about making slime\, bread dough\, magic eggs\, ice cream\, marshmallow taffy\, and lots of other things. Join us as we have fun with chemical reactions and experiment with surface tension and bubbles. Let’s be kid scientists for the week! \n  \nGrades 3 – 5: Under the Sea \nTake a deep breath and dive into the ocean as we discover what lives there and how they can survive in the deepest part of the seas. We will become artists of the sea as we bring the creatures to life using different techniques and textures. \n  \nGrades 5 – 7: Out on the Town (ALL DAY)* \nWould you like to sample some delicious food from some of our local vendors like The Owl Soda Fountain or Dominoes? Want to explore Pybus Market or the Antique Mall? Join us for fun-filled days of exploring the downtown community that makes up the heart of Wenatchee. Each day brings a new location\, a new adventure and a chance to learn about our amazing community! Come prepared for the weather (sunscreen) and to walk at least a mile each day. \n  \n\nGrades 1 – 2: Inspired by Pinterest \nPinterest is a place for so much inspiration\, whether it’s how to draw a dinosaur or how to make glow in the dark slime. Get inspired this summer to draw\, make\, build or create things that are chosen from Pinterest for this class! \n  \nGrades 3 – 5: Checkmate Masters \nHave you already studied the basics of chess? Join us for a more advanced week of studying one of the oldest and most popular games in the world! Learn about teamwork\, build your skills\, and develop more advanced strategies and tactics. Students will have a chance to participate in their own chess tournament\, playing against different opponents and mastering the game. Previous enrollment in Checkmate Champions (Chess 101) or prior understanding of the basics of chess is required. Become a Checkmate Master and sign-up for your chance to take home a medal this summer! \n  \nGrades 5 – 7: Out on the Town (ALL DAY)* \nContinuation of the morning class.
