SUMMARY:Quincy Basin Geology Tour
DESCRIPTION:Ice Age Floods using the Grand Coulee and the Upper Crab Creek drainages\, filled the Quincy Basin at a rate up to 16.5 million cubic meters of water per second. This tour\, led by Ken Lacy\, will examine the incredible erosive consequences of the floodwaters escaping the Quincy Basin\, via Lynch\, Potholes and Frenchman Springs Coulees. The tour will also examine the eight mile wide Drumheller Channels\, through which most of the Quincy Basin floodwaters drained largely down the Lower Crab Creek drainage\, toward the Columbia River at Beverly\, Washington. \nTour goers will meet at the Wenatchee Valley Museum to board a tour bus that will depart at 9 a.m. Please plan to bring your lunch unless otherwise notified. \nBuy your tickets today! \n

DESCRIPTION:Gather at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center for Bacon\, Bourbon\, Bluegrass & Brews on Saturday\, September 21 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. It’s Museum Day and we are celebrating the Year of Music with an enticing blend of bourbon\, bacon\, and brews. Featuring live music from Killdeer String Band and Chumlilies\, this exhilarating event will raise money for the Museum. \nAll ticket holders will receive 4 tasting tickets and 2 full pour tokens. The first 125 ticket holders will receive a commemorative tasting glass. Samples of bacon and pork appetizers are included in the ticket price. \nTickets are $45 for museum members and $55 for non-members.
