SUMMARY:Super Summer Adventure Camps: Session 3
DESCRIPTION:Updated guidance from the Washington State Department of Health allows for the reopening of child and youth programming\, allowing our summer camp program to run\, following health guidelines including social distancing\, masks\, sanitization\, and limiting capacity. The health and wellness of our campers\, visitors\, members\, staff\, and community are our top priority. We are excited to offer summer camp for students entering the 2nd – 6th grades in the Fall of 2020. We offer weekly enrichment classes for kids with a wide variety of morning\, afternoon\, and all day classes for students entering K-6 grades in the Fall of 2020 and PreK children ages 3-5 (must be potty trained). \nREGISTERING FOR MORE THAN ONE SESSION? CLICK HERE TO VIEW REGISTRATION OPTIONS FOR THE WHOLE SUMMER!\nMorning (9 AM – 12 PM)\nGrades 2-3: Robot Challenge\nThrough these engaging and fast-paced activities\, students learn important concepts about the engineering process\, the main parts of a robot\, how those parts change with the problem the robot is intended to solve\, and basic robotics programming. \nGrades 4-6: Backyard Ballistics\nIf you want to throw it\, fling it\, shoot it\, fly it or drive it\, then this is the class for you. Join us in making various kinds of tools to do just that… catapults\, airplanes\, etc. We will compete against each other for longest distance\, fastest times\, accuracy\, or following a pre-set course. \nAfternoon (12:30 – 3:30 PM)\nGrades 2-3: To Infinity and Beyond!\nCome take a closer look at Jupiter\, Mars\, and Mercury and find out what they’re made of and how they compare to Earth. Blast off with us as we experiment with gravity and build amazing flying machines and rockets. \nGrades 4-6: Robots Save the Day\nEngineering is the application of math and science to solve problems!
