SUMMARY:Super Summer Adventure Camps: Session 6
DESCRIPTION:Updated guidance from the Washington State Department of Health allows for the reopening of child and youth programming\, allowing our summer camp program to run\, following health guidelines including social distancing\, masks\, sanitization\, and limiting capacity. The health and wellness of our campers\, visitors\, members\, staff\, and community are our top priority. We are excited to offer summer camp for students entering the 2nd – 6th grades in the Fall of 2020. The craze of slime continues to grow as new and unique slime recipes are discovered. Campers will make different types of slimes using a variety of materials. Enjoy making fluffy cloud slime\, candle wax slime and even some slimes that you can eat! \nGrades 4-6: Slippery Slimy Experiments\nWhip up different types of slime and learn about Newtonian Physics in this ooey\, gooey week of chemical reactions.  Put your slime to the test with various experiments and create Elephant Toothpaste\, Oobleck\, and Flubber. \nAfternoon (12:30 – 3:30 PM)\nGrades 2-3: Wild about Science\nCome explore the sciences with us as we discover crazy chemistry\, experiment with engineering and have fun with Physics! Your child will be Wild about Science after a week of bubbling potions\, designing bridges and Newton’s laws of motion. \nGrades 4-6: Kitchen Chemistry\nIf you love experimenting in the kitchen then join us for Kitchen Chemistry Camp! This camp provides the perfect recipe for fun by combining food and science experimentation. Learn the secrets of soda-pop; make whipped cream; discover the science behind popcorn; and experiment with many other kitchen concoctions!
