SUMMARY:Martin Luther King\, Jr. Multicultural Fest
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the rich diversity of our region! \nJoin us for Martin Luther King\, Jr. Multicultural Fest on Saturday\, January 17 from 10 AM – 3 PM. This FREE event is a celebration of the rich diversity of our region. \nVisitors will learn about the diverse array of cultural and heritage groups that shape the tapestry of our community. There will be booths displaying art\, crafts\, and pictures of different cultures. Kids will learn and connect with cultural traditions through arts and crafts. Each child will receive a passport and travel to each cultural booth to earn a stamp in their passport. \nThis event is sponsored by the Chelan Co. PUD and LifeCenter Northwest. \nWenatchee Valley Uplift Awards \nEach year\, the City of Wenatchee honors individuals\, groups\, or organizations for their civil and social contributions to our community at the annual Uplift Awards.  The Uplift Awards recognize individuals\, groups\, or organizations in the Wenatchee Valley that are making significant contributions to the work of protecting civil rights\, promoting social justice\, or advancing diversity\, equity\, and inclusion. \nNominations are accepted by the City of Wenatchee year-round and honorees are presented with the award at the annual Martin Luther King\, Jr. Multicultural Festival hosted by the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center. \nNominations for work completed in 2025 are due by Sunday\, December 7th\, at midnight. \nUplift Award Nomination Form \nFor more information\, including a list of past award recipients\, please visit the City of Wenatchee’s website.
