DESCRIPTION:Guest story teller Paul Atwood takes children on a whimsical journey “Into the Woods” at 11 a.m. Saturday\, Sept. 24 in the first of a series of fun and fanciful Saturday readings held at the museum through the school year. The free event is appropriate for children of all ages and is open to the public. A craft activity facilitated by students from the Wenatchee High School Drama Club is included. \nThe storytelling event is at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center\, 127 S. Mission Street. Participants will have an opportunity to create a hand-tooled leather bookmark as a keepsake. \nKevin McKee will read “King Bidgood’s in the Bathtub” Oct. 8. He will discuss current thinking on Ice Age mega-flooding\, as it presents on Earth and elsewhere\, and what issues need more work to understand the whole story. DESCRIPTION:Professional art instructor Chester Ferrell will teach a seven-week series of art classes for children in 2nd through 7th grades. Each child receives individual attention while working at his or her own level. Mr. Ferrell uses the works of great Masters to explore different styles of art.
