SUMMARY:Grand Coulee Geology Tour
DESCRIPTION:Brent Cunderla will take you on a tour of the Grand Coulee Ice Age Floods tour loop which begins in Soap Lake and continues north to Lake Lenore Caves\, Dry Falls Interpretive Center\, Sims Corner\, Electric City\, Banks Lake\, Northrup Canyon\, Coulee City\, Summer Falls\, and Ephrata. \nTour goers will meet at the Wenatchee Valley Museum to board a tour bus that will depart at 8 a.m. An overview of the catastrophic Ice Age Floods and Soap Lake’s unique waters will be given. Two stops in the lower Grand Coulee will include Lenore Caves and Dry Falls. A brief stop will be made to overview Dry Falls and the mouth of the upper Grand Coulee before driving up onto the Waterville Plateau. Crown Point will be the last stop before lunch. The afternoon tour will stop near Northrup Canyon and travel south through Coulee City to Summer Falls. The last stop will be at “Monster Rock”. \nBuy your tickets today! This tour is sold out. Learn how to use design and construct your own personalized stained glass piece along with the basics of soldering. With the knowledge you gain from this class you will be able to make your own stained glass at home and apply your new soldering skills to any number of projects. This class will be for adults only.\n\n\n \n\n\nAdmission is $30 for members\, $35 for non-members. We will talk about what a “check-mate” is\, and how that differs from “taking the king”. The event is $7\, kids under 12 years old $3\, free for ATOS members. \nRegister online now! \nJames is a silent film theater organist and musical instrument preservationist who has performed throughout the United States\, Canada\, Mexico\, and overseas. He has performed in New York at the Metropolitan Opera\, for Hollywood film scorings\, at Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival (debuting with Roger Norrington and the London Classical Players)\, and at the Tanglewood Festival with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
