DESCRIPTION:Join us in our MakerSpace for a Get Lit! Pet Collar Series. Learn how to use conductive thread to make a light-up pet collar and make a tag with our 3D printer. \nWednesday\, March 4: We are creating the pet collar. The collar will be constructed with nylon webbing\, plastic release buckles\, and conductive thread. You will need to bring your pet’s neck measurement to class with you. \nWednesday\, March 11: We are finishing the collar if needed and designing the tag. Everyone needs to set-up a free account on tinkercad.com and bring a laptop to class with you. We will help with understanding Tinkercad and troubleshooting the designs of the tags before printing. \nWednesday\, March 18: We are wrapping up the tags or picking them up if they were not finished printing the previous week. \nAdmission to the series is $40 for members and $45 for non-members. DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening of the 41st Annual Regional High School Art Show. Museum visitors can see artwork from students in Chelan\, Douglas\, Grant and Okanogan Counties. Admission is free all day starting at 10:00 AM at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center on the first Friday of every month\, and hours are extended to 8:00 PM with light refreshments and snacks offered after 5:00 PM. \nGUEST HEALTH & SAFETY: Nothing is more important than public safety and the well-being of our community. The museum is preparing for COVID-19 in our community by working closely with local public health officials and aligning with local\, state and federal public health guidelines. In order to promote everyday preventive actions\, we have added hand sanitizer stations throughout the museum\, we are reinforcing good hygiene and sanitization policies with staff\, volunteers and visitors\, and we are working with our janitorial service to ensure they continue to provide high level cleaning of our facility\, including proactive sanitization of surfaces of the museum that the staff and public come in contact with. We would like to urge our visitors to stay home when they are sick\, or when someone in their household is sick. We will continue do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our visitors and their families.

Due to increasing concerns over large gatherings\, and the recommendations of the Chelan-Douglas Health District regarding COVID-19\, we are postponing this Environmental Film & Speaker event: Canoeing the Arctic. We are working to find a new date for this event\, and will communicate this date as soon as possible. \n\nThe decision to postpone was not made lightly. In the end\, the health and safety of the community was paramount in our decision. We hope you understand that the museum staff and board believes this is the right decision for the safety of our community. \nAt this time\, however\, the Chelan-Douglas Health District has not recommended the closure of museums or other public spaces. The Museum currently remains open to visitors during regular operating hours.
