Dr. Servheen is one of the leading grizzly experts in the United States and one of the leading experts on bear conservation in the world. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday\, November 10 at 7 PM for an evening with Randy Lewis and Bill Layman to mark the release of their new book “Sunset and Moonrise on the Great Chief- The Ruling Spirit of the Columbia.” Come hear the authors talk about the book which is their third book collaboration. In this publication\, Bill and Randy offer a glimpse into the life and times of adventurer artist James Everett Stuart. More importantly\, they speak to the essential message of the painting – that the lands of the Columbia River and its Indigenous peoples have been and always will be sacred. \nA book signing will follow the discussion. There will be a special price for books purchased at the event. \nThis event is free and open to the public. Or how a player piano can play such beautiful music? Come explore automata at the Museum and see how people have built self-moving machines for hundreds of years!   \nIn this MakerSpace class\, you’ll learn the basics of automata and how the gears help these machines move! You’ll make your own gears and use them in a moving automaton.   \nPreregistration is not required\, but encouraged as there are a limited number of spots which will be filled first-come\, first-served.  \nClasses will be offered at the following times: \n10:30-11:30  \n11:30-12:30  \n1:30-2:30  \n2:30-3:30  \nCost is $5/person \nREGISTER HERE \nAll in-person events follow current state and local health and safety guidelines.
