DESCRIPTION:Join us along with our sponsor Chelan-Douglas Land Trust on Thursday\, March 3 at 7 PM for the online premier of the film\, “Expedition Reclamation” presented by The Brave Space Project\, as part of our Environmental Film and Speaker Series. This short documentary seeks to redefine “outdoorsy” and reclaim belonging in the outdoors for Black\, Indigenous\, and Women of Color by highlighting their joyful\, resilient\, and transformative relationships to outdoor recreation. Join us virtually to hear from co-directors\, Erin Joy Nash\, Chelsea Murphy and Sanjana Sekhar\, as they and their team present the film and have a panel discussion with characters and crew who contributed their stories in the film.  \nPlease register to attend this event virtually. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, March 5 for Family Saturday. Free admission will be offered at the museum all day on the Saturday following Frist Friday for Family Saturday. The museum is open from 10 AM to 4 PM. In March you will have the opportunity to see the annual 43rd Regional High School Art Show exhibit in cooperation with the North Central Educational Service District and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction each year. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our students’ creativity and talent District and Statewide. Student winners from the North Central District travel on to show and compete with students from across the state at the capitol in Olympia.

DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in improving your acting skills while learning more about the history of the Wenatchee Area? Join the Museum for this intensive acting workshop\, taught by local actor and Museum employee Matthew Pippin\, where you will learn more about the art of acting\, and tips and tricks of the trade. Held for two hours on four different days\, this acting workshop will allow participants to learn about character research\, script writing\, public speaking\, and more!  Participants will choose a person from the Wenatchee Area’s past to research and portray\, with the option of participating in the Museum’s live People of Our Past performance in March. \nCost is $50 for all four sessions. Each session is two hours and will be held on Saturday nights February 19 & 26 and March 5 &12 from 5 to 7 PM. \n REGISTER HERE \nMatthew’s Bio:  \nMatthew began his foray into live theatre at a young age in the Wenatchee Valley before attending and graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (NYC campus\, 2002).  He has been worked in over 50 productions in the valley since returning from NYC in 2010\, participating in Music Theatre of Wenatchee (both acting and directing)\, Mission Creek Players\, The Levelers\, Leavenworth Summer Theatre\, The Radar Dames\, & Hot August Nights productions at the Numerica Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee.  Matthew is also a crew member of the PAC.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Monday\, March 7 at 10:30 AM for Movement Mondays. Did you know music and dance can help with the development of math skills? Addition\, subtraction\, sizes\, shapes and patterns are all important in dance and choreography. We hope to see you monthly on Movement Mondays for a fun way to reinforce math\, colors\, and shapes though music\, dance\, and movement! Cost of registration is $10 per child and caregivers are free. Pre-registration is required\, please register to reserve your spot. Sara guides you through the creation of your own paper mâché head mask that represents your spirit or personality you’d like to explore. Reserve your spot to design and create your own mask over three Mondays – March 14\, 21 and 28 from 10 AM to 1 PM. Use your mask in your work\, to display in your home or join with other Monsterlove ‘maskateers’ to create videos or walk in a parade together.  \nCost is $75 for members and $95 for nonmembers. SUMMARY:Drop-in MakerSpace: Junk Bots
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, March 19 for a Drop-in MakerSpace program on Junk Bots between 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Create a vibrating and moving junkbot using everyday “junk” or items in your recycle bin. These tiny robots are powered by a vibrating motor\, like the type found in cell phones. Design your own using scrap materials and spare parts. No previous experience with robots is required! Cost is $5/person. This program fee includes one vibrating motor kit and materials for one junkbot\, as well as circuitry instruction. SUMMARY:An Evening with AZ Wells
DESCRIPTION:  \nSpend an evening with AZ Wells and his wife\, Emogene on March 26 at the Wells House\, located on the Wenatchee Valley College campus. \nThis event will feature 1920’s AZ Wells and Emogene talking about their life in Wenatchee and the beautiful Wells House\, their home from 1919 until 1945.  The Wells’ were early pioneers of this region and became prominent Wenatchee orchardists.  Co-owner of Wells and Wade Hardware and Fruit Shippers\, AZ made many contributions to Wenatchee and the surrounding areas. \nDave and Dianna Williams will portray this historic couple beginning at 6:30 pm.  A glass of wine is included with the registration fee of $15 for museum members and $18 for non-members.  Space is limited and vaccination cards will be required as well as face masks when not eating or drinking. \nTours of the house will be available after the presentation. \nREGISTER HERE
