DESCRIPTION:Join us for a week of Rockets and Robots at our Super Summer Adventure Camps. We offer weekly enrichment classes for kids with a wide variety of classes for students entering K-6 grades in the Fall of 2022. \nGrades K-1: Pop\, Fizz\, Bang \n9 AM – 12 PM\nCome and make some noise with us as we explode\, sparkle\, and whoosh our way through space! Join us as we make rockets and robots that are out of this world! \nGrades 2-3: Robots Save the Day \n9:00 AM – 3:30 PM\nEngineering is the application of math and science to solve problems! During this one-week mission\, explore ways to apply your problem-solving skills to various hands-on challenges related to science and space exploration. Acquire knowledge about robots with fellow crew members and engage in hands-on activities to help distinguish between robots and non-robots. \nGrades 4-6: Robotics Challenge \n9:00 AM – 3:30 PM\nStretch your creativity with this camp about robots! Learn how to build a scribble bot for those days when you want to color\, but would rather have a robot color for you. We will also learn about the robots that help build rockets\, and build a stomp rocket of our own! \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Yoga Basics with Dianne - On the Wells House Lawn
DESCRIPTION:Yoga Basics On the Wells House Lawn with Dianne \nWednesdays in August at 10 am. \nWells House 801 Nelson Ave (located on the Wenatchee Valley College Campus) \nImprove your flexibility\, balance\, strength\, and relaxation using basic yoga postures and breathing techniques while enjoying the charm of the Wells House.  We will be outside on the lawn of this historic house. \nDianne McCammon will lead this small\, adults-only yoga series. Yoga Basics is slower-paced and focuses on developing a clear and safe alignment of fundamental postures. This series of classes is designed for beginners\, those recovering from injury or anyone wanting to refine their current practice. Come learn\, play\, and maybe even break a sweat in a supportive environment. All bodies are welcome. \nSign up for all 5 sessions or decide to come that morning\, you have the option.  Walk-ins are welcome.  If you preregister for all 5 sessions\, the cost is $50/members and $60/non-members.  If you don’t want to commit to all 5 and would rather decide weekly\, the cost is $15/session.  Please bring exact change or a card and we will register you before class.  You can also sign up online. \nDianne is certified at the 500-hour level with Yoga Alliance and is a Registered Yoga Therapist with International Association of Yoga Therapists. \nPlease bring your mat and water. Space is limited. We will be following health and safety guidelines issued by the Chelan Douglas Health District and the State of Washington\, including facemasks if mandated. \nRegister here.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for First Friday. The Museum offers free admission during extended hours from 4 PM to 8 PM on the First Friday of the month. For guests 21 and older we will have a Beer Garden in our parking lot\, which offers the perfect view to watch the concerts in Centennial Park. Beer from Wenatchee Valley Brewing will be available for purchase and there is a $1 cover fee. \nDon’t miss the installation of the Washington State Superintendent’s High School Art Show winners for 2022. Since 1973\, the Superintendent’s High School Art Show has honored excellence in the visual arts. Students from all nine of the state’s educational service districts (ESDs) participate in this artistic celebration each year. The finalists from these regional ESD shows are invited to participate in the Superintendent’s High School Art Show. \nOne of the award winners is Anessa Hanson from Wenatchee High School. Her painting is titled “Sunflower Meadow.” Her teacher is Reed Carlson. \nCome to the Museum to see Anessa’s painting along with all the other award winners from across the State of Washington.

We offer weekly enrichment classes for kids with a wide variety of classes for students entering K-6 grades in the Fall of 2022. \nGrades K-1: Petite Picassos \n9 AM – 12 PM\nLearn about the techniques of famous artists like Pablo Picasso\, Vincent Van Gogh and Georgia O’Keeffe and create your own masterpieces. Take short walking excursions near the museum to observe and sketch the natural world. \nGrades 2-3: Fiber Arts \n9:00 AM – 3:30 PM\nFrom hi-tech to historical\, stretch your creativity by immersing yourself in the amazing world of fiber art. Try your hand at weaving\, dying\, sewing\, and other fun fabric creations with an amazing variety of manmade and natural fibers. \nGrades 4-6: Earth Art \n9:00 AM – 3:30 PM\nCampers will explore nature through the lens of an artist in this camp! They will learn about nature artists\, develop an innovative approach to creating art\, and present and share their creative expression.
