Visit the Wells House at Upcoming Events
The Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center is offering
several upcoming events and programs at the Wells House, located on the Wenatchee Valley
College campus.
March 26 – An Evening with AZ Wells
Spend an evening with AZ Wells and his wife, Emogene on March 26 at the Wells House,
located on the Wenatchee Valley College campus.
This event will feature 1920’s AZ Wells and Emogene talking about their life in Wenatchee and
the beautiful Wells House, their home from 1919 until 1945. The Wells’ were early pioneers of
this region and became prominent Wenatchee orchardists. Co-owner of Wells and Wade
Hardware and Fruit Shippers, AZ made many contributions to Wenatchee and the surrounding
areas.
Dave and Dianna Williams will portray this historic couple beginning at 6:30 pm. A glass of
wine is included with the registration fee of $15 for museum members and $18 for non-members.
Tours of the house will be available after the presentation.
Wednesday in April – Yoga Basics with Dianne
Improve your flexibility, balance, strength, and relaxation using basic yoga postures and
breathing techniques while enjoying the charm of the historic and beautiful Wells House.
Dianne McCammon will lead this small, adults-only yoga series. Yoga Basics is slower-paced
and focuses on developing a clear and safe alignment of fundamental postures. This series of
classes is designed for beginners, those recovering from injury or anyone wanting to refine their
current practice. Come learn, play, and maybe even break a sweat in a supportive environment. All bodies are welcome.
Dianne is certified at the 500-hour level with Yoga Alliance and is a Registered Yoga Therapist
with International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Please bring your mat and water. Space is limited. Cost for four-week series (April 6, 13, 20 and
27) is $40/members and $50/non-members. May classes coming soon.
April 16 – Easter Egg Hunt on the Wells House Lawn
Hop, hop, hop over to the Wells House, located on the Wenatchee Valley College campus, for
our first Easter Egg Hunt on the Lawn. April 16 from 11 am – noon for this fun new event.
Children will be divided by age into 3 groups: 1 to 3 years old; 4 to 6 years old; and 7 to 10 years
old.
The Easter Bunny will be available to meet the children and pose for photos.
Registration is required. The cost is $5 per child for members and $8 per child for non-members.
