Summer Art Series: Clay Sculpting with Martha Flores – 7/23/2025
Wenatchee, Wash. – (July 18, 2025), Wenatchee Valley Museum Cultural Center (WVMCC) invites you to join local artist and educator Martha Flores for a hands-on, two-part clay sculpting workshop in this Spanish-speaking workshop!
On August 2nd and 9th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., students will learn the basics of clay sculpture, paint and glaze their own pieces, and create their own unique work of art alongside Wenatchee-based artist Martha Flores (M.F.A.).
In the first session, students will learn essential clay modeling techniques and begin sculpting their own original pieces. Martha will fire the sculptures at her own studio and return them the following week.
In the second session, students will be painting or glazing their pieces. After the second firing, students can pick up their finished sculptures from Martha’s studio at their own convenience.
This workshop series is part of the WVMCC’s annual Summer Art Series program, created to advance art education in our community and uplift local artists. Non-Spanish speakers are welcome to register for this workshop.

Martha Flores is a Wenatchee-based artist known for her expressive sculptures and paintings that explore themes of identity, memory, and place. With a Master of Fine Arts degree (MFA) and years of teaching experience, Martha brings warmth, skill, and deep care to her workshops, making art accessible and joyful for all.
