MakerSpace: Robotics Afterschool Program – Elementary School Teams

Now Enrolling: 2025 Robotics Afterschool Program! 

Do your kids love to build, create, and compete? Sign them up for our award-winning robotics program where students design, code, and drive robots in regional competitions! Over the course of the season, students will participate in 400+ hours of robotics training and events, strengthening their problem-solving skills, building confidence, and making lifelong friendships. 

Down in our MakerSpace, these young innovators will work in small teams to build and program robots using the VEX IQ system, gaining experience in engineering, teamwork, and competition prep. Students will attend 3 tournaments throughout the season. The official competition schedule will be announced in early September. 

Elementary School Team Schedule:

Grades 3–5

Begins: September 24–March 18

Wednesdays, 3:30–5:30 PM

Eligibility: Students born after April 26th, 2013

Registration for the full Robotics Afterschool Program costs $500 for members and $550 for non-members. Registration is required due to limited spots. 

Requirements:

• Strict age requirements apply per VEX tournament rules for team eligibility.  
• Parent participation and volunteer hours are required.
