Join Ken Lacy as he explains how multiple floods shaped the Quincy basin during the Ice Age.
15,000-18,000 years ago, these floods formed what we see today at Lynch, Potholes, Frenchman Springs coulees, and the Drumheller Channels by Othello. This tour will provide an opportunity to examine these escape routes and get an idea about the geology of the area.
On Saturday, Sep. 16, from 8:30-9 AM, Lacy will provide a brief lecture in the Performance Hall of the museum before departing to the Quincy basin. Attendees will be picked up and dropped off at the museum from 9 AM to 5 PM.
