Environmental Film and Speaker Series Presents: Skiing Uphill by Pat Turner

February 8 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Pat Turner Skiing Uphill

The Environmental Film and Speaker Series presents Skiing Uphill: A Story of Strength and Perseverance

Join the Wenatchee Valley Museum for a book reading with local author, Pat West Turner, as she details her life as a woman with one leg.

On Thursday, February 8, 7-9 PM, guests are invited to a meet and greet with the author, followed by a book presentation and a Q&A to wrap up the event.

Pat West Turner was raised seven and a half miles up the Entiat Valley. Now she lives in East Wenatchee, Washington with her husband, Joe, where she was a beloved teacher for many years. Before her teaching career started, she was in a car accident when she was a senior in high school. She eventually lost her leg because of complications. Her memoir outlines an active life regardless of her challenges living on one leg. Read the full book synopsis on Turner’s official book page.

Admission is free, but registration is recommended and can be found here.

The Environmental Film and Speaker Series is sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Chelan and Greater Wenatchee Valley.
