Free Weekend Museum Activities: Wax Paper Lanterns

Join us every Saturday and Sunday through Labor Day for a free all-ages, drop-in, staff-led craft or activity! We will have supplies out for a different activity each weekend for guests to express their inner artist or engineer. These activities will be available for all but younger guests may need assistance from their grownups depending on the activity. Activities will be available as supplies last and admission to the Museum is not required to participate in the activity.

On August 19-20, get into the spirit by creating your own “stained glass” lantern with this kid-friendly activity. Create one colorful, illuminating lantern by following along with our Guest Services Associate Haakon Sorom. This project is the perfect family activity and a great way to play around with color!
