Kantele player Wilho Saari

May 15, 2015 @ 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Free' donations appreciated

Finnish-American kantele player Wilho Saari will share his love of Finland’s national instrument as part of the museum’s “Extraordinary Ordinary People” exhibit. The program will begin with an informal meet & greet, with Wilho discussing the kantele, a stringed instrument similar to the zither. He will perform several traditional and original tunes on a variety of kanteles. Members of the Wenatchee Valley Museum are especially encouraged to attend the performance, but all are welcome.
