Join us on Saturday, November 13 for a MakerSpace program on Automaton. Have you ever wondered what makes a Jack-in-the-Box jump out of its box? Or how a player piano can play such beautiful music? Come explore automata at the Museum and see how people have built self-moving machines for hundreds of years!
In this MakerSpace class, you’ll learn the basics of automata and how the gears help these machines move! You’ll make your own gears and use them in a moving automaton.
Preregistration is not required, but encouraged as there are a limited number of spots which will be filled first-come, first-served.
