Updated guidance from the Washington State Department of Health allows for the reopening of child and youth programming, allowing our summer camp program to run, following health guidelines including social distancing, masks, sanitization, and limiting capacity. The health and wellness of our campers, visitors, members, staff, and community are our top priority. We are excited to offer summer camp for students entering the 2nd – 6th grades in the Fall of 2020. Please see our Safety & Health Guidelines for more information.
We hope you are staying healthy and safe, and if you’d like to enjoy history, art and science activities while at home, visit us at our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4ADR-eRbSnErQ6T41ZU8lw
Join us for a week of Rockets & Robots at our Super Summer Adventure Camps. We offer weekly enrichment classes for kids with a wide variety of morning, afternoon, and all day classes for students entering K-6 grades in the Fall of 2020 and PreK children ages 3-5 (must be potty trained).
Through these engaging and fast-paced activities, students learn important concepts about the engineering process, the main parts of a robot, how those parts change with the problem the robot is intended to solve, and basic robotics programming.
If you want to throw it, fling it, shoot it, fly it or drive it, then this is the class for you. Join us in making various kinds of tools to do just that… catapults, airplanes, etc. We will compete against each other for longest distance, fastest times, accuracy, or following a pre-set course.
Come take a closer look at Jupiter, Mars, and Mercury and find out what they’re made of and how they compare to Earth. Blast off with us as we experiment with gravity and build amazing flying machines and rockets.
Engineering is the application of math and science to solve problems! During this one-week mission, explore ways to apply your problem-solving skills to various hands-on challenges related to science and space exploration. Acquire knowledge about robots with fellow crew members and engage in hands-on activities to help distinguish between robots and non-robots.
