Before you being you’ll need to gather the necessary supplies, all you need is a balloon and LEGOs! The specific LEGO pieces you’ll need is a long piece, a short piece, a skinny connector, four blocks with 8 pegs, two blocks with two pegs, and 4 sets of wheels. Plus any extra LEGOs you want to use to customize your car.

A balloon powered car is a great example of Newton’s Third Law of Motion: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Air is forced out of the end of the balloon, which means there must be an equal and opposite reaction pushing the car forward! Be sure to share a photo of your LEGO creation with us in the comments on social. We can’t wait to see what you made!
