The health and wellness of our campers, visitors, members, staff, and community are our top priority. Due to COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to cancel summer camps scheduled to be held in the month of June. Refunds are being provided for anyone who registered for a June summer camp.
We will continue to open registration for July and August summer camps to students entering the 2nd – 6th grades in the Fall of 2020. While we currently plan to hold camps during July and August, we will be following the guidelines for events and public health from local, state, and federal officials, including social distancing, sanitization, and capacity. We are continually evaluating upcoming events scheduled for July and August in light of those guidelines. Our team will give advance notice of any future cancellations.
We share in your disappointment in the cancellation of June’s camps, but we are hopeful that we’ll be able to welcome your campers back to the Museum in July and August for those students entering the 2nd – 6th grade. We hope you are staying healthy and safe, and if you’d like to enjoy history, art and science activities while at home, visit us at our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4ADR-eRbSnErQ6T41ZU8lw

This summer is your chance to become a Dinosaur Discovery expert! From your summer camp “field station” you will discover, excavate, and identify fossils just like professionals. You’ll also explore ancient creatures what were the ancestors of dinosaurs, and the modern animals that are dino descendants.
Travel back in time to track giant sloths, mammoths, bears with the people of the past. How did they live? What did they hunt? Did they play games? What did they eat? What did they wear? Get the answers to these and other Ice Age questions.
Since the beginning of time, animals have been adapting to survive. How come some ancient animals changed and others did not? Unearth a variety for fossils and bones, encounter the different animals they came from, and explore why some animals needed to change (like seals), some died out (like dinos) and some remain the same (like sharks).

People have been discovering fossils for thousands of years – from tiny ones smaller than your fingernail to huge T’Rex bones. Some fossils even led people to imagine amazing creatures like dragons and unicorns. What will you find in this summer camp, and what sorts of creatures will you discover?
