Grades 1 – 2: Slippery Slime Experiments
Whip up different types of slime and learn about Newtonian Physics in this ooey, gooey week of chemical reactions. Put your slime to the test with various experiments and create Elephant Toothpaste, Oobleck, and Flubber.
Grades 3 – 5: Magic Museum Bus (ALL DAY)*
Sure, you have seen our museum, but have you ever visited any of the museums in towns like Chelan, Leavenworth, Cashmere or Waterville? Ride the Link bus to these museums and spend the day on a scavenger hunt around each one. We might even have time to go hiking or exploring in those towns!
Grades 5 – 7: Secret Life of Breads
Enjoy a science experiment and a feast all rolled into one in the exciting culinary exploration of the science of bread making. Explore quick breads, cultural breads, yeast breads and yummy dips!
Grades 1 – 7: Checkmate Masters
Have you already studied the basics of chess? Join us for a more advanced week of studying one of the oldest and most popular games in the world! Learn about teamwork, build your skills, and develop more advanced strategies and tactics. Students will have a chance to participate in their own chess tournament, playing against different opponents and mastering the game. Previous enrollment in Checkmate Champions (Chess 101) or prior understanding of the basics of chess is required. Become a Checkmate Master and sign-up for your chance to take home a medal this summer!
