This Seattle-area trio will perform songs in the Nueva Canción (new song) tradition, based on the rural folk music of Chile. This gala luncheon is a fundraiser for the historic Wells House on the Wenatchee Valley College campus, an affiliate of the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center. It includes tours of the building, a vintage hat display, and a raffle. Guests are encouraged to wear their best hats! Tickets are available at the museum.

Danish-American folklorist Jens Lund’s presentation, “I Done What I Could,” brings to life the joys and dangers of traditional Pacific Northwest occupations such as logging, mining and fishing. Lund will explore how these challenges are sometimes expressed through traditional ballads and poetry. The performance is associated with the museum’s “Extraordinary Ordinary People” exhibit.
