For over 80 years, our community has trusted the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center to collect and share the stories of remarkable people and moments in our history; and the biggest story right now is the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on our lives and our region’s response. This is why the Wenatchee Valley Museum is asking community members to share their stories: Your personal reflections on living through this pandemic. How are you spending your days in this strange new “normal.” What have you learned about yourself, your friends, or your family, that is giving you strength amidst chaos?

Share your personal reflections by emailing us at [email protected] or by mailing a note to the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center, Attn: Collections, 127 S Mission St, Wenatchee, WA 98801. We also welcome your photographs that document images of this extraordinary time in our valley. All submitted materials, written and electronic, must include your full name, location (city, town, or reservation), email address, and the date.

Essential workers are encouraged to pick up a journal from the Museum to have coworkers and staff write-in and share their experiences working during the pandemic. Please call 509-888-6240 to schedule a time to pick up a journal.

WMVCC will add a selection of the stories and reflections to our collections, where future generations will go to understand what this unprecedented moment in history was really like.
