Winemakers Dinner to Benefit the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center
Eagle Creek Winery and Wenatchee Convention Center are teaming up with the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center to offer a Winemaker Dinner on Thursday, August 15, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Winemaker Paul Sharpe will host the evening and provide background commentary on the wines throughout the evening. Chef Lenord Silva has designed a menu to stylishly and deliciously complement the wines. All Strings Considered, a local Celtic trio, will provide entertainment.
As guests arrive they will enjoy a Happy Hour featuring 2018 Viognior. The presentation of the first course will reveal Tabbouleh with Fresh Mint, Cucumber and Tarragon (2018 Chardonnay). Followed by Roasted Breast of Chicken with Plums (2016 Montage). The third course given will be Summer Succotash with Fresh Basil (2018 Pinot Grigio). Highlighted in the fourth course will be Italian Duck Gravy over Orecchiette (2014 D. LoVarco) and immediately followed by Braised Short Ribs and Mushrooms with Barley and Wilted Spinach (2009 Tre Dei Cinque). Finally, the dessert course will feature Agave Poached Pear with Crème Fraiche, Hazelnuts and Local Honey (2018 Muscat Canelli).
Museum director of Development and Communications, Kristin Lodge shared, “Paul is very engaging, and loves chatting with guests. He’s hoping for an engaged audience. The evening promises to be lots of fun.”
